Simple, good price, wonderful service and comfortable rooms in a charming, familiar atmosphere. Also very central in Marburg.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It so rich in tradition and one example that gives a complete picture is a perfectly working analog telephone placed by the window! Just to add one more: the keys to your door and to the front door. So surreal! Since I'm on a business trip, I spent the whole day with a collaborator at the University of Marburg so only using my room practically as a place to rest and do some end-of-the-day work. There's absolutely nothing to complain about this place. The bed is adequate for its purpose. The working table with a cute artistically designed lamp shade provides an optimal space to work. Toilet and bathroom may appear quite tight by today's standards but once you have figured out how to 'maneuver' while inside you'd find that it's just enough for the length of time you need to be there. :) All bathroom fixtures are modern, fully functional, and sparklingly clean! My room is by the side road so quite limited in terms of view but does not matter actually. I am a bioinformatician so I would not notice anything beyond the 13" screen of my mac most of the time anyway. :) Now here's something that appealed to me the most: internet connection. If you're like me who needs to be "connected" all the time, this place is perfect. Internet is blazingly fast for usual work at 5Mbps with minimum lag. Breakfast is generous with enough serving for whatever you need to get yourself energized and stay energized until lunch time. I would recommend this to my friends and certainly NOT to my enemies. :D Room tip: There's a bigger room at the second floor that has a terrace that is just a floor above the brook below. I could imagine a better time there with such a better view and space. I'm in room 8 but have absolutely nothing to complain about. IMPORTANT: Make sure to book in advance and save the hotel's phone number in your mobile phone. It has no usual 'front desk' and an open door where you can gain immediate access inside. It looks like grandma's house from the outside. ;)

We love everything about this place!!! You can walk around and get quick to old town and historical places in minutes, clean rooms also the Innkeeper is always helpful and very kind😊 We found an awesome place and we recommend this to everyone if you visit this beautiful town Marburg 👌💙🤓
