I've known this restaurant since I was a little boy. My family and I used to come here regularly, and after many years, we finally ate there again a few weeks ago. It was almost like a little trip back in time – in the very best sense. Here, you get the feeling that time has deliberately stood still. A quaint, honest inn, the kind you used to find in almost every village in the countryside, but which are sadly rare these days. A place where you can sit with friends for a card game and a few beers just as easily as you can sit with your family for a meal. The food is exactly what you'd expect from such a place: rustic, hearty, and excellently prepared country fare. The schnitzel was superb – cut from pork loin, a great size, perfectly cut, and absolutely delicious. You can immediately tell the high quality of the meat, which comes from their own or a local butcher. With a variety of sauces to choose from, and sides like fries or croquettes – everything was just as it should be. We felt completely at ease. The wait was perfectly acceptable, the service friendly and relaxed. For me, this is a piece of cultural heritage that should be supported and preserved. Not every evening has to end in a fancy café/restaurant – sometimes you need exactly these kinds of honest places. Highly recommended.

Excellent schnitzel and a charming, traditional restaurant. The prices are really reasonable, and anyone from the area already knows it. If you go between Christmas and New Year's, be prepared for a wait to get a table, but you can get drinks at the bar in the meantime.

A very simple but traditional place. Not many tables but on a Saturday night all tables were taken and we had luckily prebooked. The food is simple, and a few dishes were out but what we had was very good Schnitzel, the Kroketten and fries good, the salad also very nice! And all done by just one man, drinks, food, service, he did a great job. Prices also very fair.
