Very friendly service and super delicious food - we will be happy to come back and can recommend the restaurant without reservation

We spent a whole day hiking in the Wetzlar area and, with hungry stomachs, wanted to have something to eat in a nice beer garden somewhere. The first one we selected with Google and then navigated to turned out to be more of a lost place. Then Google recommended the Gaststätte zum Kirschenwäldchen (Cherry Woods Restaurant). So, we drove 8 km further. That was a very good recommendation. A large, lovely beer garden with hot food served all day. We arrived around 4:00 PM, and all the tables were already occupied or reserved. We were offered a table until 6:00 PM... two hours should be plenty for us. Our order and drinks came quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for the exceptionally delicious food. The service was extremely friendly and prompt. It was also nice that we were informed at some point that we could stay longer, as they had "changed our plans." The only minor criticism: The "Aperol Spritz" cocktails we ordered after dinner weren't that great. There were far too few ice cubes, and the mixing ratio was also incorrect. Please practice again. But the Kirschengarten is a beer garden, not an Aperol garden. Nevertheless, the overall package is very harmonious. A feel-good beer garden with excellent food and friendly service. Highly recommended!
