I just happened to wander in...but I immediately felt at home! I only had a Frikadelle (Frikadelle bread roll)...yummy, yummy, yummy!!! I told everyone at home about it. And a compliment to the waitress. I felt like they knew me 👍👍👍👍👍. I have to go back to Gießen a few more times. I'll definitely stop there!!! Simply delicious!

Unfortunately A.H. was not so friendly. You go in beaming with joy and want to look around to see what's on offer. After two seconds you feel oppressed because you're supposed to go over to the person opposite, even though you said you wanted to look around first. And in the end you leave disappointed with four things. I would have liked to return the wrapped grilled sausage because I hadn't paid for it yet. But because we wanted to make ourselves something to eat... to go with our homemade potato salad, I had to rely on it. Although I'm happy to buy sausages and various other things for our household from other nicer and, above all, fresher butchers elsewhere, for a maximum of €180 each, it was thanks to Mrs. A.H. that I earned less than €20. There were three customers there with me and many sales staff. And I went to this butcher's for the second time in five years. And the last time too!!! Other waitresses treated their customers differently. The complete opposite. And I had to deal with Ms. A.H. The other saleswomen were also very friendly towards me and smiled even though they were serving me. They dealt with things differently with additional offers/suggestions for sales. Which I noticed in passing. As I have been a friendly saleswoman myself for decades. This kind of behavior from such staff towards me annoys me. There was other part of the process that was not correct on her part. But everyone should have to experience that for themselves. This kind of behavior annoys me. And I discreetly protested about the sliced, dried-out sausage (where you could see the difference from the second slice underneath) and then the comments towards me. NOOOOOO. To be honest, we'd rather drive to Buseck or Gr. Linden and buy between €120-180 for our family there. The ham looked like €0.99 ham per 100g. And when I got home. Wow, I felt sick. €21.90 per kg for such a ham. Crazy. I have no idea if that was correct or if I was simply sold an EXPENSIVE amount!? Just as an example. You also want flawless, new, and fresh goods for your hard-earned money. You go to a butcher's shop, and then something like that happens. If only I had been served by a different salesperson, everything would have been different. Even at a discount store, you get better treatment than a customer at the counter. Sorry, Bechthold Butcher's. It's not your fault. But it was a lesson for me. I wish you continued good business and satisfied customers. Best regards. A very disappointed customer who wanted to spend some serious money with you. And our freezer was completely empty. Tomorrow, another butcher will be happy with €120-180.

Ten stars for this branch! My mother used to send me there as a child. All types of meat are available to order for any occasion. My tip: Order veal neck. They'll show you the whole piece, and then grind it for you upon request. You can make both Viennese butter schnitzel and Bolognese sauce from it! Both are cooked for a shorter time but simmered longer. In terms of total cooking time, it makes no difference compared to the traditional half-and-half. But the taste is a different story... 👌
